Life on my Knees, Freedom is Slavery Book Review
When I first read Louis Friend's weblog, I thought to myself: Here is a man who's sexual creativity might truly rival my own.
It wasn't but a few entries before I knew I just HAD to have copies of his books Life On My Knees
I had two motivations for buying his books. One such motivation is that I happen to be a bookworm, and a pervert, thus I am slowly building a handsome library of naughty naughty books. I'm a collector, and I am determined to get Louis to sign me a copy of his book at some point to add to my autograph collection.
The other is that I feel that it is so rare you run across a such a talented "porn writer" that you need to financially support these individuals. Too often, I run across a fun fantasy story that is unfortunately riddled with grammatical errors. When perusing Literotica, quite frequently the names of characters CHANGE half way through. No such confusion with Louis -- even his blog entries are more carefully crafted towards their lascivious ends.
I call Louis a "porn writer" because I don't think he would appreciate being called an author of "erotica." His work is crisp and direct about being absolutely explicit and pornographic, wherein erotic implies something more delicate and elusive.

Something that's very important to me is the belief that porn does not have to be sleezy, cheap, and badly made. I want to believe that pornography can be loved, crafted like a piece of artwork .... and yet delivered without being overly frilly, or tip-toeing around the topic at hand. I don't want a light romance novel, eluding to someone's "quivering tower of manhoood": I want the real, raw details. Nor do I want to read about someone's "twitchigs cock and bals." (Yes, it IS that bad! Sometimes I wonder if these lesser writers stop using their fingers and simply bash their story out on the keyboard using their penis!) But enough writing about what these books are not, let's discuss what they are.
While every story is a wonderful read, I have not felt the pressure to study them, but rather to pick through them the same way I do from a porn video site, tossing aside the stories that don't suit my current fantasy mood..... Instead of reading from front to back cover, I've randomly selected stories nearly every night to read and peruse from Louis' books, enjoying them for what they are: Good porn stories, and a little slice of one man's delectable fantasies.
They range from deeply submissive to domineering, as realistic as though he'd written them verbatim after a wild fling or daydreamily unbelievable but nonetheless delicious. After reading, I feel as though I have just spent several hours in a heavy play session with Louis and we have collapsed breathless & spent.... together. I feel the same connection as if he were suddenly my sub, my playmate, my lover.
And to write like that? That is a talent. And I'm so glad Louis is doing something with it. I hope he comes out with a third naughty book soon. =)
All in all? I highly recommend them. And if you're too cheap to shell out for the man's books? At least read his weblog. Some naughty stories and musings, some photo collections and links, and its all quite enjoyable.
